Base painting for the vintage movie poster ''For Me and My Gal'', a romantic musical film released in 1942, directed by Busby Berkeley and starring Judy Garland and Gene Kelly. The movie is set during World War I and follows the love story between a vaudeville performer and a charming yet ambitious song-and-dance man.
The story centers around Jo Hayden, played by Judy Garland, a talented singer and dancer working in a traveling vaudeville troupe. Jo dreams of making it big in showbiz and longs for a chance to perform on Broadway. When Harry Palmer, portrayed by Gene Kelly, a charming and charismatic performer, joins the troupe, he sets his sights on Jo and her dreams.
As Jo and Harry develop a romantic relationship, they face numerous challenges and obstacles in their pursuit of success and happiness. Their journey is complicated by Harry's reluctance to commit to a serious relationship and Jo's determination to achieve her goals, even if it means sacrificing her persona...
